Si vous tapez Webwag sur votre iPhone vous serez redirigé automatiquement sur la version iPhone avec votre compte ou en mode libre.

Le site a aussié été revu avec notamment un lecteur de flux intégré avec les images, des colonnes redimensionables, et de nouveaux thémes et de nouvelles APIs.

Sortie de Webwag Mobile 1.0 et de ses API

Plus rapide et fonctionnant sur plus de 140 téléphones récents, Webwag Mobile sort de sa beta et sort surtout ses API pour les développeurs.

Webwag signe un partenariat avec SFR

J'ai le plaisir de vous annoncer que grace à cet accord, les abonnés SFR peuvent profiter dès aujourd’hui sur leur mobile d’une page d’accueil avec tout le contenu qu’ils auront choisi eux-mêmes grâce à Webwag (news, mails, météo…)

Les abonnés SFR sont invités à se créer un compte sur Webwag.com pour télécharger et installer simplement "Webwag avec SFR" sur leur mobile. Une fois "Webwag avec SFR" installé, les coûts de connexion au service sont gratuits pour les abonnés de l'opérateur. Cette opération est valable jusqu’en février 2008 et ouverte aux 5 000 premiers abonnés SFR s’inscrivant sur Webwag, dépêchez-vous pour en profiter !

A San Francisco deux semaines: 1er jour, deux conférences

Programme chargé:

Aujourd'hui deux conférences où je parlerai de la mission de Webwag et de la convergence web-mobile.

Tout d'abord le Widget Summit, deuxième édition cette année.


Avec du beau monde: iGoogle, PageFlakes, Apple, Zenzui, Slide, Microsoft, Facebook, AOL, Yahoo, Nokia, Doubleclick et Netvibes qui offre un verre à la fin de la journée.  Webwag sera présent au "New Product Launches" de 17H30.


Seule société a parlé ici des widgets sur mobile: Nokia mais pour vendre sa plateforme maison S60...Bref, des widgets qui ne tourne pas sur tous les téléphones, c'est le moins qu'on puisse dire, mais c'est surtout la vision qui va être intéressante à écouter et à partager. On est là surtout pour ça: partager !

Deuxème conférence du jour: Mobile 2.0 Event, plus orientée techno, ergonomie, expérience utilisateurs etc.... La widget Webwag installable sur mobile est ici. Idem, demo Webwag sur scène à côté des Nokia, Adobe, Vodafone etc...Il est 5.43, je me prépare pour partir. A+

"Media Widgetized": Webwag à la conférence Ad:Tech, Londres, demain

Ad:Tech c'est LE salon de la publicité en ligne, qui a lieu plusieurs fois par an à Londres mais aussi aux US et en Asie.

Je parlerai de l'avenir du widget comme support publicitaire. Au panel en autre des responsables de Ogilvy, eBay, MRM Worldwide.

-Très simple: vous voyez les postes de votre réseau
-Pour répondre à un contact affiché vous cliquez sur son logo/image .Exemple ci-dessous avec Jérôme Bouteiller:
-pour voir sa page web perso sur Twitter, cliquez sur son nom
-Sur votre mobile: rafraîchissez tout simplement Webwag Mobile (menu Synchronise) et votre widget Twitter mobile apparait déjà loggé. En premier niveau du widget, votre logo et le nombre de post non-lus. En deuxième niveau pour poster ou répondre.

Webwag Mobile, the first ever web widgets on mobile

Synchronize your personal web with a mobile phone, enjoy your graphical attractive widget on your personal device, this helps users to keep in touch with their upmost important data and information.

For the first time of the web and mobile history, Webwag enables users to achieve a great deal : synchronize your web start page with your mobile phone.

Many are those web-only focused personalizable portal. Separately, a few technologies exist to display graphical RSS feeds on mobile, but no one web-mobile unified platform existed so far, with real widgets on mobile, graphicaly rich and user friendly.

Mobile internet access is an old story, an old promise, but is not mainstream yet. Four main reasons explain this failure.
-connections are still heavily invoiced
-a mobile keyboard is far less usable than a PC/Mac.
-Using information on a mobile handset has to be fast and easy to use.
-Web pages display on a mobile web browser remains a poor experience, even if that keeps improving.

-Download link on www.webwag.com/m from any mobile browser.

From today, what can I do with it ?

- select and read your favorite RSS feeds with images display. 
- Read your emails preview of Gmail, Yahoo mail and any pop3 account.
- Display the latest Flick images and use them as the background screen of Webwag mobile.
- Weather forecast: temperatures and weather conditions for the day and actual. Click again the widget for a 6-day forecast.
- Push web notes from your .com to your mobile and vice versa.

A few details for users:

- Once installed, the mobile application is able to run independently. If you wish you can add or delete any widgets from the mobile handset itself, no need to get back to the Webwag.com site to do so.
- This first version is loading speed optimized up to 10 displayed widgets.
-The list of the compatible mobile handsets are listed when you install. This list keeps growing. If your mobile is not listed, try our generic version with no garanty. Mostly all the MIDP2 handsets are compliant.


Last details for hackers :

- A SDK (software development kit) will soon be released to help web coders to easily create mobile widgets
